On one of our many frenzied journies through Internet Land we were delighted when we stumbled across the furniture upcycling blog, Nou Vin. They offer upcycled furniture which has been lovingly re-designed and re-furbished into a chic new statement piece for your home. We don’t know about you, but here at Grassroots we are so over the indentikit (not to mention frustratingly complicated!) flat pack furniture offered by the likes of Ikea et al. It’s far more refreshing and uplifting to have beautiful furniture in your home that you have sought out yourself and that speaks of you as a person, expressing your impeccable taste in design!
Even better yet is to have a piece of furniture customised specifically for you. Nou Vin offer a commisioning service which gives you the opportunity to talk one-on-one with the designer to create a bespoke piece of furniture to compliment your own personal style. And of course, It’s ethical too as Nou Vin use only 2nd hand furniture to create their own inspiring creations. We can’t wait to get our hands on a stylish item to sit pride of place in Grassroots HQ!

Shoot Day
The curtains were drawn back tentatively at Grassroots HQ on the morning of our Summer shoot. Would the weather be on our side? A most definite ‘No’ seemed to be the answer. But that didn’t hold us back from having fun, albeit not in the sun!
Jennie Kwan (stylist) and Kate Stanford-Shard (hair and make-up) infused the looks with summer freshness and with the expertise of photographer Glenn Larkby we had ourselves a mini heatwave! Our gorgeous model Georgie rocked the outfits, looking very hot indeed (we know several men driving past agreed) despite the chill in the air.
Thanks to the hard working, amazing team, the collection is set to go! We will be launching this weekend on ASOS Marketplace. Make sure you check it out!
